Responsible for knowledge of financial processes, which may or may not be acquired through formal training. Individuals in this position are called upon to perform financial and business analysis/support to management and franchisees relating to accounts receivable and sales. This position requires interaction with a broad range of internal and external team members. • Review and record all fees (royalty, advertising, accounting and franchise) for specific franchise groups ensuring compliance with the terms of the franchise agreements. • Prepare invoices to franchise entities for amounts owed to Brinker. • Reconcile accounts receivable to general ledger to assure accuracy. • Analyze franchise royalty payments and reports for accuracy. • Contact Franchisees concerning past due invoices. Work with Franchisees and Franchise Market Directors, to resolve any discrepancies or disputes on outstanding items. Report on collection activity. • Responsible for collecting, posting and reporting on all Franchise Sales. • Identify problems; recognize symptoms, causes and alternative solutions. • Post cash receipts to franchise AR accounts. • Prepare, review and analyze special projects as requested. • Prepare, produce, and maintain all schedules associated with year-end audit. • Prepare and distribute monthly statements, reports and analysis. • Maintain a professional, service-oriented working relationship with franchisees. Also maintain a professional team-oriented working relationship with all corporate departments. Education/Training: • College degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent relevant work experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Display basic knowledge of accounting principles; ability to apply principles to job responsibilities. • Have working knowledge of statistical and financial analysis and preparation of financial statements. • Have strong computer skills including working knowledge of Excel and Word; informal training/knowledge of various systems (A/P, G/L, A/R, Distribution Center). • Exhibit organization and time management skills to accomplish tasks by set deadlines. • Display attention to detail with consistent accuracy. • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate successfully with internal/external customers. • Essbase and iSeries knowledge a plus. Work Experience: • 2-4 years finance/accounting/analytical experience.
