Analyst Executive
Staffing Now, Inc has a confidential need for a ContractAnalyst:The Contract Analyst position will be responsible forresearching, analyzing and trending Managed CareContract modeling, ongoing performance and other specialprojects as assigned by Director Decision Support forDRHS. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzingpayor specific terms to identify payment issues,recommending alternative payment terms, volume and costreports, trending payment history by payor andproactively identifying potential audit opportunities.The Contract Analyst must be able to identify potentialrevenue and/or compliance issues with contract terms.The Contract Analyst will be responsible for queryingthe Decision Support System and other necessary systemsto obtain data downloads. The Contract Analyst will alsobe responsible for any data manipulation using anynecessary tools to complete assigned tasks. These toolsmay include ACL, Monarch, Microsoft Excel, MicrosoftAccess, and other programs. Specific Contract Analyst responsibilities include:o Analysis of individual contract terms andreimbursemento Recommendation of alternative contracting rates/termswith the goal to improve net revenue and/or ease theadministrative burden associated with the contract termso Quarterly analysis of individual contract paymentcompared to expectedo Identification of potential audit opportunities (to beturned over to Contract Specialists for audit andcollection)o Modeling of contracts in Contract Management or OtherSystem as requiredo Providing accurate information from various systems atthe request of Director or other key leadership teammemberso Meeting with payors to review methodology and assistin the determination of counter-proposals.o Supporting the Director and team as neededo Other duties as assignedExperience/Specialized Skills:A Bachelors degree in Business/Finance, Masterspreferred.At least 2 years of related experience in reporting froma data warehouse, preferably in a healthcare setting.Extensive experience on the REVENUE side of acutehealthcare is preferred. Expertise with spreadsheet, graphics, and databasesoftware applications is required. Skill Set Requirement:o Proficient in payment review systems, hospitalinformation systems and coding methodologies.o Strong quantitative, analytical and organizationalskills.o Ability to:o Understand CMS (formerly HCFA) Memos and Transmittals.o Understand medical records, hospital bills, and theChargemaster.
