Analyst, Revenue Management Strategy
Responsible for providing analytical, reporting and database management support for all integrated revenue management strategy business functions, including but not limited to Revenue Management, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, E-Commerce, Hotel Sales and Consolidated Call Center Operations.
Under appropriate direction, creates and develops mix optimization models for each significant segment of the overall customer mix, incorporating price elasticity tools, customer migration forecasts, unconstrained demand modeling and impact analyses to help assess the appropriate strategy and levers for mix optimization across the product portfolio.
Under appropriate direction, creates and develops analytical models and tools to focus on key understandings of customer worth and behavior at a property and city level, including but not exclusive to: developing gaming forecast models, hotel ADR forecasting models, and key management reporting.
Creates various analyses measuring demand trends customer price elasticity, competitive pricing, and regression analysis across multiple dimensions.
Creates statistical models as required in support of all Revenue Management strategy business functions.
Develops a deep understanding of all Trump Entertainment systems, databases and networks to leverage available information for modeling development and customer analysis.
Develops deep knowledge of Atlantic City marketplace and customer segmentation and behavioral patterns across all key customer segments.
Develops and creates ad hoc analyses and reports as necessary and operates under timecritical constraints when required.
Has active involvement in database management and data cleansing, including best fit ‘data mining’ approach based on available resources, information and objectives.
Assists in the development and management of all requisite databases across all customer segments and channels to serve the specific needs of all Revenue Management Strategy areas.
Has the ability to retrieve needed data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to Revenue Management system, all Hotel and Casino Management systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse; and utilizes data in both original as well as existing reporting and analysis.
Assists in the development of operating and business recommendations as derived from all analysis.
Provides on-demand analytical support to the Revenue Management Strategy senior management team, including but not limited to the Senior Vice President of Revenue Management, Vice President of Hotel Sales and the Directors of Revenue Management, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence and E-Commerce.
Partners closely with and manages relationships with all related departments such as Casino Marketing, Casino Operations, Hotel Operations, Information Technology and any business strategy areas in support of overall strategies and tactics as appropriate.
Actively participates and assists in the development and implementation of measurement and benchmarking tools, processes and procedures to clearly demonstrate the return on investment and operating income impact of all recommended strategies and tactics.
Bachelors degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, marketing, business administration or similar quantitative analyses education. Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint. Prior experience or skills in database creation/management, linear programming and VBA skills, statistical modeling/testing, SPSS or SAS and other equivalent statistical application experience would be a big plus. Should demonstrate willingness and aptitude to quickly learn other technical software as required. Strong analytical and communication skills required. Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and through written analysis, charts, graphs and presentations. Must be able to work well within multi-functional work teams and groups. Knowledge of gaming industry, while not required, would be a definite plus. Able to work in a team environment, receive instructions from multiple directors and/or managers as necessary, operate under time-critical constraints, and produce both regular summary and ad hoc reporting as required. Entrepreneurial skills and thought processes are highly desirable, must be capable of ‘outside the box’ thinking and be willing to push the envelope in seeking and implementing new thought processes and ideas that have a demonstrable impact on operating income.
