Application Consultants - Procurement, Accounts Payable, or Shared Services exp - Location Open

The Senior Consultant will provide support to the sales team in business development activities and to its project management group in system implementations. In this dual role, the Senior Consultant advises prospective (sales) and current clients (system delivery) on how the company’s applications can meet and exceed their business objectives. Additionally, the Senior Consultant provides continuity from the sales cycle to the implementation project for both internal and external customers.

Each Senior Consultant will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more  business application domains. In this capacity, the Senior Consultant will stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape; educate and train sales and delivery teams; and support the product development and marketing departments in their efforts to improve the functionality and positioning of the Suite of products.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

 

�� Provides subject mater expertise in the sale, configuration, testing and implementation of the Business Suite product. Understands the business requirements driving a product decision and ensures the delivered product addresses the requirement.

 

�� Facilitates customer system demonstrations and configuration workshops.

 

�� Gathers requirements, consults with clients on process improvements, and provides recommendations for the development and delivery of a configured system.

 

�� Works with Project Managers to ensure successful client engagements. Coordinates internal configuration activities; manages overall product delivery; communicates client expectations; and identifies project risks or impacts to overall project schedules.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

�� Minimum three years experience consulting with mid to large cap companies and / or government entities. Proven track record of success in specifying and delivering software applications as part of larger business re-engineering initiatives.

 

�� Articulate with strong presentation skills.

 

�� Committed to quality and client satisfaction.

 

�� Able to successfully lead and / or work in teams, as well as self-direct.

 

�� Ability to work to deadlines and effectively multi-task.

 

�� Strong subject matter knowledge in Accounting, Finance, Procurement and / or Shared Services. Professional designation preferred: CMA, CFM, CPA, CPP, Six Sigma, etc.

 

�� Knowledge of change management tools and processes, both internal and external.

 

�� Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or Economics. MBA preferred.
