Senior Tax Specialist / Manager


Challenging full-time position available with a progressive CPA firm for an experienced individual who can provide high-level tax support services to the firm. Analytical skills are required, as well as client service abilities. 

 

 Responsibilities include:

§Leadership role in developing staff tax knowledge through regular interaction such as providing direction on tax research projects, reporting and planning questions, tax code and regulation interpretation.

§Tax research, reporting and planning for more complex, sophisticated tax issues.

§Review of federal and state tax law changes and provide appropriate and timely updates and alerts to firm members regarding law changes.

§Review of business tax returns to ensure ongoing quality of tax reporting.

§Ability to develop relationships with clients and business owners by providing them expertise and creative solutions in tax planning.

 

Strong candidates will have the following credentials and characteristics:

§Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in tax (preparation, reporting, planning, research, etc.)

§  Conference and communication experience with business owners.

§Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.

§Experience with CCH ProSystems Engagement and Tax software packages preferred.

§Excellent written and oral communication.

§CPA required and Masters of Taxation highly preferred.
