Assistant Controller 11329

Strong Michigan bank is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their staff. We are looking for someone with staff accounting or assistant controller experience with a bank or financial institution.

 

In this role, the Controller will be responsible for handling general ledger work, ratio calculations, reconcilements, and remitting use tax. You will also be responsible for month-end work and quarterly reporting. Location: Southeast Michigan.

 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Two or more years of  accounting experience within a financial institution or background with a large accounting firm specializing in financial institutions. Accounting experience must be with a Bank or financial institution in ordered to be considered for this position!

 

Your repertoire of experience would include good accounting practices, using multiple spreadsheets, and management or supervisory experience. Excellent Excel skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven leadership skills. Software experience with Profitstar and Jack Henry Silver Lake core system is ideal.
