Assistant Controller

Controller to be responsible for oversight of the accounting functions including AP, Expense Reporting, Payroll and GL accounting.  This position will manage 4-5 and indirectly manage a team as well. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the accounts payable and payroll functions
• Oversight of the general ledger accounting group
• Handle day-to-day accounting matters and resolution of issues
• Oversight of and participation in the timely and accurate month-end closing cycle
• Review financial statements on a monthly basis and perform variance analysis
• Support the requirements of the annual audit and quarterly reviews through preparation of schedules and other support to external auditors
• Evaluate, recommend and implement policies, procedures and systems to improve controls and drive efficiencies
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Perform special projects to support the business through research and response to questions about account activity and transactions

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• 5+ years relevant tech or software industry experience
• CPA and Big 4 is a plus
