Assistant Controller

Scottsdale financial services company seeks a talented Assistant Controller to join their team! The incumbent will assist in directing the organization's accounting functions including establishing and maintaining procedures and controls.  Responsibilities include managing the AP/AR, wire transfer, bank, and other GL account reconciliation functions through a staff of 5 accounting staff.  Will assess priorities, provide constructive feedback, and assist with problem solving and review of work of direct reports.  Will also prepare reports that assist management in the analysis of the organization's financial statements or potential business opportunities.  Will also play an integral role in the annual financial statement audit and licensing authority audits.Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA, 5+ years experience accounting with progressive responsibility, Advanced Excel skills, Great Plains (preferred).  Must have experience in public accounting as well as corporate industry experience.  Salary to $80K plus attractive bonus plan.Please submit your resume in confidence to scoolidge@accountantsinc.com  or contact Shannon Coolidge, Recruiting Manager, Accountants Inc. 602-977-1114.
