Assistant Controller

Our client, a long-standing Birmingham employer, is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. A qualified candidate will be responsible for supervising the accounting and reporting functions for the company and ensuring that proper reporting is maintained and in compliance with US GAAP. In addition, the manager will analyze financial reports, make recommendations on report findings, reconcile various ledger accounts, perform special projects, review and develop internal controls, assist with system functions, and supervise the accounting staff.

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 4 - 7 years of related experience. A CPA or Master's Degree will be considered a big plus. Our client offers above average benefits, competitive compensation, and a great work environment.
