Assistant Controller/Payroll Manager

 

The Assistant Controller/Payroll Manager will manage and supervise eleven staff as they process payroll for Coler-Goldwater Hospital.  This entails the supervision of accurate timekeeping for 3,000 employees and requires that the incumbent be well-versed in the operation of ATLS and OTPS (Dec Payroll) systems and carry out all payroll functions in compliance with all applicable Hospital, Corporate policies and government regulations.  He/she will enforce Labor Relations orders as they relate to workers compensation issues, Addition and Reduction to pay (AP/RP) and will accurately and timely implement salaries, differential, and time leave as union contracts change.  He/she will work closely with HR reviewing PAFs for accuracy and addressing issues including Dedicated Sick Leave, Nurse Recruitment, Terminal Leave payments, the pharmacist Bonus program, and implementation and calculation of prevailing rate employee data.  He/she will act as liaison between employees, department heads and Central Office Payroll Operations as it relates to payroll matters and provides accountability for all payroll checks. 

 

The successful candidate will have considerable experience in NYC HHC Payroll management or another NYC agency and will have strong customer service and supervisory skills.  We offer a highly competitive salary and an outstanding benefits package.
