Assistant / Corporate Controller / Accountant

Job Description:

This individual is a key player responsible for all major accounting functions including but not limited to; receivables/payables, month end closings and reconciliations, payroll and customer communications. Responsibilties:

This position is responsible for the following:Basic Accounts Payable and Receivable duties. Commission Accruals for Outside/Inside Sales Reps Prepare, reconcile and analyze documentation for Month End Closings for the Corporate accountant, including Financial Statements, General Ledger information and Journal Entries. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, analyze and resolve discrepancies between the bank, general ledger and our Corporate Accountant on a timely basis. Communicate account balances and transactions daily/weekly to Upper Management. Payroll Preparation and processing. Assist in formulating/analyzing/maintaining Departmental Budgets. Maintain and communicate with customers and sales department regarding account status. Utilize computer in proper set-up, creation, display and reproduction of reports, graphs, and analyses. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with the following characteristics:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. A minimum of 2-4 years accounting experience. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail required. Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and accounting software. Excellent interpersonal, communications, planning and organizational skills.
