Associate Equity Analyst

River Road Asset Management, a Louisville, Kentucky-based institutional equity manager, seeks an Associate Equity Analyst. River Road employs its unique absolute value process to invest over $2.8 billion in small cap, small/mid cap, and all cap equity income assets. Qualified candidates must have earned a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. An MBA is preferred. While experience as an equity analyst is not a requirement, candidates without experience must possess a thorough knowledge of financial statements and have work experience that will bring unique insights to their equity analysis. Operations or financial management experience with a financial institution is a plus. A CFA designation or the willingness to pursue the designation is a requirement.

 

The equity analyst will be expected to:

* Analyze and compare financial statements

* Research valuation metrics used in all industries

* Write clear and concise research reports

* Monitor and assess news on existing holdings

* Support Portfolio Managers in identifying undervalued equities

* Passionate about the investment management business

* Knowledgeable about the equity markets

* Capable of working independently and in teams

* Organized and hard-working

* Proficient with MS Word and Excel
