Associate Internal Auditor: Investment Bank

 

Supporting the internal audit function of a global Investment Bank

 Responsibilities:

 Support audits for various Compliance, Correspondent Banking and other support functions activities of the Investment Bank.Analyzing business processes, procedures, and risks and evaluating the internal controlsDrafting audit findings to bring any concerns to management’s attentionTracking and following up on open audit and regulatory issues with the clientsAssist the ongoing review of the Bank Regulatory Reporting project, including assessment of project deliverables and targeted reviews of certain Accounting and Operations processes that directly impact quality of the regulatory reporting (e.g. accounting reconciliation and consolidation processes, accuracy and completeness of referential data).Exposure to business line reviews for the financing activity (corporate lending, structured finance).Minimal travel to Canada, South America & Europe.

 Requirements:

 5+ years of experience in financial services internal auditing, accounting or other relevant positions.Good knowledge of US regulatory environment, and accounting (US GAAP and IAS preferably)Exposure to audits of compliance, legal, accounting and other support functions, preferably within the Corporate and Investment Banking arena.Working knowledge of corporate lending activity and related credit risk management / administration processes.Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field. CIA/CPA a plusStrong Excel & Word. Peoplesoft exposure a plus.
