WellPoint in the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of approximately 28 million medical members nationwide.Locations: Woodlad Hills CA, Denver CO, Mason OH Salary based on location. Responsible for coordinating and directing IT, operational, and financial audit teams in timely completion of deliverables of annual Master Audit Plan (MAP) and special projects.  Responsible for ensuring comprehensive audit coverage throughout areas of responsibility, including integration, project management, and risk-based audits.  Assists RVP of Audit in strategic audit planning, development of audit policies, guidelines.  Responsible for preparation of materials for audit committee meetings.Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: assisting internal audit management in development of MAP, performing ongoing risk analyses and recommendations for IA efforts, assigning work to subordinates on specific audits, and reviewing their work and providing guidance and training.  Directs, counsels and instructs the auditors assigned to the team, reviews their work for sufficiency of scope and for accuracy.BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred, CIA, CISA, or CPA required.  10 years of directly related work experience preferred.  Excellent organizational and analytical skills required, including project management experience.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Extensive operational audit experience, PC skills, and computer analysis tool (e.g. ACL, Access) experience required. Performs other duties as assigned.  Must have excellent analytical, written and interpersonal and project management skills.
