Audit Director - Insurance

We are seeking a self-motivated, intelligent and responsible Director of Audit who has great people skills and enjoys helping clients to join our Audit and Assurance team in our Omaha, NE office. Focus will be heavily on Insurance clientele.

The Director will be responsible for providing and overseeing quality audit and attest services for the Firm's Insurance clients. Additional responsibilities include:

- Providing advice and recommendations that reflect thorough understanding of client's industry and strategy
- Creating policies and procedures in Insurance
- Establishing rapport and trust with key client decision makers
- Improving engagement economics through efficiencies, value pricing, maximizing team/group margin, and appropriate utilization of staff
- Developing relationships with new clients that result in increased charge hours
- Acting as a performance advisor and mentor for assigned staff
- Participating in relevant business development and marketing activities

Qualifications:

* 8 plus years experience working in a financial statement auditor role with at least 5 plus years of public accounting firm experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, completed CPA - active permit to practice in NE required
* Experience working with multiple industries, but majority insurance (property/casualty/life/health)
* Excellent interpersonal and sales skills with a demonstrated ability to build client relationships
* A proven record of simultaneously managing multiple projects and engagement teams for various clients
* Willingness to travel
