Audit Manager - North Dallas

The Mergis Group is searching for an Audit Manager in North Dallas.  This position requires someone with recent public accounting experience and a proven record of directing and deploying staff on multiple simultaneous engagements. Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)- 5-7 years of experience in a public accounting firm- 1-2 years of experience as an Audit Manager- Technically proficient in audit and accounting- Strong knowledge of FASB, GAAS and GAAP- Ability to travel on a limited basis (10-15%) Job Description: - Supervise audit team field work and coordinate activities- Train field audit teams on various accounting topics- Manage engagements with budgetary and time constraints- Review work papers and financial statements for accuracy- Managing and driving success of multiple audit engagements- Participate in billing and collections process- Promote new ideas and business solutions- Keep lines of communication open with staff Please submit all resumes in Word format to ericduke@mergisgroup.com Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
