TITLE: Audit Manager

DEPARTMENT:  Internal Audit

REPORTS TO:  Head of US Internal Audit

 

JOB SUMMARY Conduct audits, preparing and presenting audit results and recommendations to management.  Provide objective assurance and consulting services by evaluating and identifying potential improvements in the risk management,  control and governance processes.  Monitor compliance with existing financial controls; and ensure compliance with finance and accounting standings.  Demonstrate strong business knowledge, industry experience and technical expertise. Interact with senior management and build/maintain ongoing business relationships utilizing strong interpersonal/ communication skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Review various processes to identify risks, evaluate and test controls and identify gaps for corrective measures

· Prepare audit strategy and audit plans. 

· Manage audits of asset management and retail divisions

· Devise test for evaluation controls

· Recommend appropriate corrective actions

· Prepare audit reports and discuss results with the auditee and Head of Internal Audit

· Evaluate enhanced due diligence policies and procedures implemented firm wide and identify risks and control gaps

· Manage staff and resolve complex problems and ease workloads during periods of peak volume.

· Train incoming and existing staff on policies and/or procedures

· Help foster an open, communicative team environment and excellent working relationships within the overall AGI organization.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

· In-depth knowledge of investment products and services, securities processing and information systems.

· Understanding of IT and its impact on the asset management business

· Broad understanding of operations, security, technology and its applications

· Be an intelligent, bright, conceptual thinker and a quick learner with the ability to quickly assess a situation and generate new insights and usable ideas. 

· Self energized, driven, and action and goal oriented

· Accept challenges and responsibilities

· Have an outstanding reputation for professional integrity with the ability to be immediately, personally credible within the organization and in the investment and client communities.

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher

· Minimum years of 8+ years applicable experience in financial services including Sarbanes Oxley

· CPA/CIA  desirable
