Audit Project Leader

Lead/conduct internal audits and Sarbanes – Oxley Section 404 compliance reviews that focus on financial and accounting controls within PSEG. Position requires delivering assurance and advisory services to internal clients on accounting and operational control issues. Provide performance evaluation, training and coaching of staff auditors and external resources. Must exhibit leadership, strong written and oral communication skills, facilitation skills and negotiation skills. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Required: Bachelors' degree in Business, Accounting or Finance and three to ten years accounting, auditing or financial management/consulting and/or Sarbanes–Oxley Section 404 experience, preferably with a "Big Four" firm or a large public company. MBA in Finance or significant progress towards or completion of certification (CPA, CIA, CISA or parts passed) required with knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and ability to analyze operations and make sound judgments with limited information. Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office applications and data extraction software, and working knowledge of SAP Security, and FI/CO and MM modules. Position title dependent on experience and skills. POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR AUDITS AT BOTH GENERAL OFFICE (NEWARK) AND SALEM NUCLEAR OPERATIONS. CANDIDATE MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL BETWEEN BOTH LOCATIONS, and do other occasional travel (approximately 10-15%). HOME BASE MAY BE EITHER NEWARK OR SALEM.
