Performs store audit reviews within the guidelines set forth in the Sears and Kmart Store Audit Programs and Internal Audit Charter to evaluate and report on store compliance with internal controls and other procedures established to achieve corporate objectives.2. Documents and reports, to various levels of management, the degree of compliance(or noncompliance) in adhering to corporate internal control policies to keep management informed.3. Advises and communicates proper internal control procedures to store management and other appropriate store personnel to provide guidance and clarification of policies.4. Performs special, one time operational reviews of Sears and Kmart stores to comply with requests of corporate management.5. Assists external auditors in the performance of interim and year end external audits to address their questions and needs.6. Prepares findings and supporting documentation in first draft format prior to review and distribution of final audit reports to corporate management.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES1. Knowledge of internal audit principles and store policies needed to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of store internal controls.2. Skilled in examining, analyzing and interpreting store records and other documentation.3. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of employees.4. Ability to organize and document the audit findings in a format which sufficiently and readily supports the auditor's conclusions.5. Working knowledge of PC based word processing, spreadsheet and internet applications (such as Word, Excel, Access, Microsoft Explorer)CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent2. Two years internal audit and/or retail management/operations/loss prevention experience3. Store experience preferred4. Professional credentials are a plus: CPA/CIA5. Ability to be self-directed; strong problem solving skills6.
