Automotive Corporate Controller

The Day Automotive Group has an immediate opening for a Corporate Accountant.  We expect the right individual to develop into the Corporate Controller as responsibilities increase.  The Day Automotive Group is a perennial “Top 100” performer with 24 franchises and 11 retail locations in Western Pennsylvania.  The successful candidate will work directly with the Office Managers and the Office Staff at each retail outlet and also with the CFO and other members of Executive Management Team on a daily basis.  This person will assist with the review of monthly financial statements, prepare detailed accounting examinations of all operating entities, assist with the development of performance tools and compliance procedures and provide accounting assistance to the retail operations.

Responsibilities and qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Solid accounting knowledge required, public accounting experience preferred

· Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and refocus efforts as needed

· Desire to independently manage projects to completion

· Strong computer skills, including an advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, required

· Ability to design, implement and monitor internal controls

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Retail automotive experience and familiarity with the ADP computer system is a HUGE plus

· Successful candidate will need to interface with dealership managers and corporate staff
