Bankruptcy Specialist - Summary:We are currently seeking an individual specializing in bankruptcy collections.This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional who is seeking a position that offers creativity, start-up operations, unlimited growth and bonus potential.Your primary function will be identifying current bankruptcies within the HSW portfolio and then utilizing internal resources as well as external attorneys and agencies to effectively monitor the disposition of the bankruptcy and to prepare proof of claims, and when necessary, execute lien rights to protect assets.You will have the support of a network of members aimed at ensuring achievement in the field of expertise.

 

Job Responsibilities: Have a thorough knowledge of bankruptcy litigation including Ch. 7, 11, 13 proceedings.An understanding of the UCC and internal performance standards in order to personally develop business strategies to meet or exceed the objectives of the department budget.Ability to analyze commercial documents to determine lien rights.Ability to prepare proof of claims to secure position in bankruptcies.Manage ongoing bankruptcy proceedings and provide detail reports as to the state of the bankruptcy.Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Participate in solution demonstrations and presentations.

 

Education / Qualifications:Preferred Bachelor's degree in business related field desiredMinimum 5 years proven experience in bankruptcy collectionProven negotiation skillsProven ability to work with limited supervision
