We have an immediate opening for an experienced Benefits Financial Analyst!  Our Client is a leader in the Florida market that is well established and extremely stable.  The department is well staffed and will afford the right person to become a star.  Key Responsibilities include:· Responsible for financial analysis of group insurance, retirement and voluntary benefit plans including.o  Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement preparation, analysis and reporting;o  Certification of and compliance with internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley Act;o  Development and tracking of per member costs, reserve levels and migration patterns on the self-insured health plan;o  Review of the annual reports for all benefit plans (form 550)o  Statistical analysis and forecast modeling o  Tracking of business area operating expenses and development of the annual operating cost plans;o  Management of project teams as requested by the Manager of Projects Requirements: 4 year accounting, finance, or economics degree. Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, balancing general ledger accounts and explaining account variances. Ability to interpret and apply legal regulations. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft programs. Working knowledge of QMF/SQL. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use discretion and tact when handling confidential information.
