POSITION TITLE:  BILLER

 

The Billing Manager is responsible for day to day billing activities for several clients with unique invoicing requirements, working with and assisting account teams with billing and budget related issues and assisting the Controller with client account reconciliation and management reporting. 

 

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Generate accurate invoices on a timely basis.  Ensure that all billing is generated in accordance with contract terms and AT policies and procedures.Work closely with account management, estimators and other departments to ensure that billing requirements are met.Maintain a constant awareness of client inventory (WIP, unbilled receivables) and monitor project budgets and purchase order amounts.  Provide regular updates to account teams, Controller and CFO through written reports and presentations.Seek process improvements and work with Controller to implement and communicate any process changes to account teams and other departments. Research and answer billing related/inquiries.Assist in A/R collection activities.Document and update client billing requirements.Develop relationship with the client’s financial personnel.Maintain accurate and easily accessible work files.Prepare client reports and summaries as needed.Miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned

 

 

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS/ATTRIBUTES:

 

The Billing Manager must demonstrate high reliability, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and a self-starter with the ability to work independently. This individual should be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills, possess accurate and efficient data entry skills, strong Microsoft Office experience (primarily Word and Excel), and have two or more years billing/accounting experience.  An accounting degree is a plus.  Knowledge of Advantage accounting software package and Crystal is a plus.
