Billing Assistant or Patent Paralegal

Rapidly growing intellectual property law firm has multiple job openings for a billing assistant, and patent paralegals.

The billing assistant will have an undergraduate degree from an accredited 4-year college with a degree in business, finance, or accounting. Duties will include: time and disbursement entries, following up with accounts receivables > 60 days unpaid, generating invoices, submitting electronic invoices, accounts receivables, accounts payables, assisting with cash flow management, purchasing, 401K management, assisting with cost containment, maintaining billing files, and generating productivity/financial reports. This position requires a self-motivated individual, with high attention to detail, and a strong desire to contribute to optimizing profitability of the firm. Prior and relevant work experience as well as a flexible work schedule that provides for working late hours as needed is required.

The patent paralegal position requires prior work experience as a patent paralegal, or a paralegal degree/certificate and law firm work experience. A flexible work schedule that provides for working late hours as needed, and substantial experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
