The desired candidate would work well with diverse personalities, enjoy multi-tasking and can show a proven track record in both billing and collections. Responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to: Billing and Collections.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Billing and Collections staff member is a fast paced, changing, team environment. Responsible for complying with established procedures and controls over the daily billing and collections for Medicare, Private and Worker’s Compensations.


Requirements:

Hospital Collections and Billing:UB04, CMS-1500, and software proficiency for billing.Routinely meets with leaders in the organization to improve collection efforts within the department. Provides summary level reporting to Director regarding the critical functions of the area.Participates in all billing functions, including data entry,of the organization Ensure that bills are dropping appropriately.

 

Education/Experience

 Experience in a hospital business office setting Working knowledge of Workers Compensation processHigh school diploma or equivalent, required, some college preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
