Description of Companies The companies include commercial property maintenance, service and construction organizations based in North Dallas.  The customer base primarily consists of businesses including some retail, restaurant and other commonly owned properties, commercial property owners and managers, apartments and construction projects. The company is experiencing rapid growth.

The Positions

 

The firm is currently seeking detail oriented accounting personnel in the areas of accounting manager, payables, payroll, billing and collection.  For the billing position, daily tasks will include evaluating, and processing invoices in a muti-company job cost and service environment.  Assisting with field reporting accuracy will be an important element of the job.  For the payables position, daily tasks will include ensuring proper approval of invoices, identifying pricing issues and processing invoices for payment. 

Payroll processing includes receiving information from the field and processing on a job cost, and multi-divisional basis.  All positions will have direct contact with field supervisors and the ability to communicate effectively will be crucial.

 

The accounting manager position will include some of the above duties, but will also include some month end closing responsibilities as well as supervisory responsibility.  The accounting manager will report to the controller.

 

Experience in the construction and/or maintenance fields and with job costing is preferred.  Experience with various accounting packages is also preferred. 

 Skills and Background

 Excellent analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.2+ years of experience in billing, payables or payrollAccounting manager must have experience with full charge bookkeeping including financial statements and general ledgerExperience with ESC dispatch and billing software and Quickbooks enterprise preferredExperience with the repair, maintenance, service or construction industries preferred. Must have a strong work ethic and be a team player
