Business Analyst Sr / EFS

Organizational Statement Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing is currently seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for our location in Houston, TX. This person is responsible for configuration, upgrades, customization, optimization, training, and user support of gas pipe scheduling and accounting s/w.Responsibilities - Works closely with IT Management and staff, other departmental staff. - Stressful working conditions due to pressure to meet operational and project completion deadlines.- Work performed in typical office and field environments, Moderate travel. The noise level in the environment is moderate.- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.Qualifications - Bachelor¿s degree in Computer Science or related discipline., 5 or more years overall IT experience- Personable, and able to work effectively with demanding users- 2 or more years experience with regulated gas pipeline scheduling and accounting applications., 1 or more years experience as IS biz analyst.- Experience with unregulated gas pipeline scheduling and accounting a plus, Experience with gas gathering pipe scheduling and actng a plus.- Experience using or supporting Caminus (nee Altra) GMS preferred, Experience using or supporting TransEnergy software a plus.- Proficient with SQL, Proficiency with Access reporting a plus.- Experience with NAESB (nee GISB) 1.4, 1.5 a plus, Experience with EDI for natural gas scheduling a plus.- Experience developing information technology using Visual Basic or PowerBuilder a plus, Strong knowledge of natural gas trans business. - Strong understanding of information technology and its application to solving business problems.Equal Employment Opportunity We appreciate your interest in Enbridge Energy Company, Inc.
