CLASSIFICATION & TRADE PROGRAMS SENIOR SPECIALIST

DESCRIPTION:

 



Work with the Manager, Classification and Trade Programs and other Delphi Customs teams to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Assist the Manager, Classification and Trade Programs with special projects
Analyze import entry and other customs data to lawfully reduce duties and improve the quality and accuracy of Delphi Customs processes
Work with divisional stakeholders to ensure the understanding of Delphi Customs requirements with regard to information needed to support Delphi Customs processes.
Work with Logistics, Purchasing, and Finance to identify requirements and opportunities for improvement with regard to data integrity.
Identify system integrity issues and areas for improvement and work with appropriate Information Technology personnel and vendors to implement corrections and process improvements where needed
Work with US, CA and MX customs agencies as well as internal audit personnel to provide required information to support claims for trade preference
Develop strong relationships with customers to “exceed the customers expectations” by responding quickly to their requests for documentation
Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely receipt of required documentation


REQUIRED:

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Access
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Fluent in English and Spanish
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication

Five years Customs experience with strong knowledge of US, CA, and MX customs regulations (Preferred)

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or similar
MBA (Preferred)
