CONTROLLER for FAST GROWING SANTA MONICA INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM:

Ten year old Santa Monica based interior design company is experiencing dynamic growth with projects in the U.S. and Europe.  Operations include custom high end residential design services, lines of reproduction furniture, exclusive fabric collections, and product licensing.  An exciting growth opportunity for an entrepreneurial Accounting & Finance professional seeking a key role in a forward looking environment!

 

Responsibilities include:

*Preparation of financial reports and development of the operating budget

*Departmental financial plans and policies, accounting practices, internal controls

*Coordination of external audits, relationships with financial institutions

*Supervision and management of Accounting operations and personnel

*Cash flow management including foreign exchange operations

*Maintenance of inventory control standards

*Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits operations

 

Requirements:

*BS in Accounting or Finance – CPA preferred

*Minimum of 4 years CPA firm experience or at least 7 years as an Accounting manager

*Strong foundation in budgets, accounting standards, and procedures

*Experience designing & implementing internal controls in an entrepreneurial business environment
