COST ACCOUNTANT

In this role, you will get lots of interaction with the Assistant Controller, CFO and plant personnel. You will assist in gathering and reporting cost accounting data for the manufacturing plant sites.

 

Specific duties are:

 

$ Assists in month end closing activities (journal entries, G/L account recs and analysis)

$ Assists in preparing monthly financial statements

$ Assists in preparing and analyzing the annual budget

$ Assists in financial forecasting activities

$ Gathers various cost accounting data from the Plant Managers 

$ Provide plant management with various statistics and cost reports to improve operating efficiency and profitability

$ Analyze manufacturing variances and write-offs and ensure that they are properly recorded

$ Reconcile inventory reserves

$ Ad-hoc reports as requested by management

 

To be considered for this outstanding position, qualified candidates should possess:

* 4 year Accounting or Business degree

* 2+ of related manufacturing accounting experience (with an emphasis on Cost accounting)

* Experience with month end close activities, A/P, A/R, inventory

* Oracle ERP experience is a big plus

* MS Office experience (Excel, Word and Outlook)

* Strong communication skills, work ethic and desire to learn
