Senior Manager needed immediately for full service CPA firm in Irvine

CPA - 5 - 7 years from Big 4 or Tier Two firm.  Candidate must have experience in managing engagements with strong leadership and communication skills. 

Needs to have strong GAAP and SEC Reporting experience, 10Q, 10K's,

Financial Reporting Specialist

Prepares reports and analyses related to external financial reporting. Performs account analysis and assists with monthly/quarterly closes. Assists in preparation of SEC filings, analyst communications and other financial regulatory filings. Facilitates audit requirements and helps implement audit recommendations and other internal control related improvements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Monthly closings and analysis of various Corporate general ledger accountsMaintenance of Corporate Accounting Policies and ProceduresCorp. Controller Dept. approval of certain Tax and HR expendituresSupport for annual KPMG audits of  financials and benefit plansVarious Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) projects, such as conversion cycle improvement, competitor benchmarking, etcPreparation of GAAP financial reportsResearch and analysis of technical GAAP or SEC accounting issues

Communication and implementation of Corporate Controller initiatives throughout other areas of financeBachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experienceCPA is required2+ years in audit group at BIG 4 CPA firm is requiredThorough knowledge of GAAP and SEC reportingGeneral knowledge of Internal Controls (COSO framework)

General knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act – Section 404
