CREDIT RISK ASSOCIATE LVL1 (Buffalo, NY)

Additional information may be found at www.citigroup.com or www.citi.com Citi Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi") are equal opportunity employers M/F/D/V and do not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or characteristic.Major responsibilities are to maintain Relationship, Obligor and Facility data in credit systems; support a portfolio with supervision (as needed).  Process incoming credit requests and review for completeness and accuracy; convert to concise, accurately recorded credit facilities.  Prepare accurate Credit Approvals (CAs) in a timely manner.  Track Credit Approval (CA) progress during approval; ensure approvals are received in compliance with policy, and recorded in database accurately and in a timely manner.  Accurately input data into various ancillary credit or operating systems.  Maintain accurate insurance records and controls to ensure timely follow-ups and renewals of required insurance for equipment and equipment liability.  Liaise with Insurance Providers and Agents as necessary (where relevant).  Take ownership of data in GRR.  Understand data flows for all data element categories; investigate and resolve the underlying causes of errors.  Review, with supervision (as needed), month-end GRR reports for assigned portfolio segment(s), following GRR data quality process.  Submit or process GRR adjustments for approval as required.  Contribute to correct reporting process for classified credits.  Receive support and credit documentation into custody, record items in documentation system.  Ensure covenants, collateral, pledged notes are monitored, and required follow-ups are addressed, with supervision as needed.  Monitor end-of-day exposure vs. limits, escalate detected exceptions per policy and obtain facilities to address recurring exceptions.  Implement process changes as instructed to correct patterns of excesses.  Prepare, with supervision, portfolio and related credit information for internal and external auditors; contribute to achieving acceptable audit ratings.  Candidates should be very organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Skills should include good PC, analytical, verbal and business writing skills. Bachelors degree in related business field or equivalent work experience required.
