Institutional Life Services, LLC (“ILS”) is a life settlements intermediary that accepts life insurance policies from third-party originators and presents them to institutional investors for purchase.  ILS is headquartered in New York, NY and will have processing and servicing operations in Richmond, VA. ILS was founded in 2007 by GS Re Holdings, Inc., a division of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., National Financial Partners Corp. and Genworth Financial and expects to launch its operations in July 2008.

 

ILS seeks to create the preeminent institutional marketplace for the settlement of life insurance policies.  The Company’s strategy is to bring high quality institutional investors and seller representatives together to engage in life settlement transactions that adhere to the highest standards of practice.  ILS has received feedback that a marketplace for life settlements as designed by ILS would be compelling for institutional participants in this market.

 

Institutional Life Administration, LLC (“ILA”), a sister company of ILS, is a life insurance services firm providing securities intermediary and policy servicing services to institutional owners of life settlements and other life insurance-related assets.  Its initial suite of services includes securities intermediary, asset transfer, policy servicing and custodial services.

 

Taken together, ILS and ILA constitute an end-to-end platform and depository for the acquisition and maintenance of life settlement assets.

 

We seek motivated candidates with five to seven years’ transaction experience in a regulated environment.  The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, creative problem solving abilities, the ability to work effectively with internal and external constituents, the ability to drive multiple work streams, a strong work ethic, a focus on results, the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, and excellent human resources management skills.

 

Position Overview

 

The position provides an opportunity to work in a high growth, challenging environment and in a role critical to the development of the company’s business.  This position will report to the Transaction Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

·         As it is collected, prepare hard and soft copy data for processing

·         Arrange investor required materials in preparation for bidding

·         Prepare and help processes all necessary transaction documents

·         Enter data into the system

·         Follow all documentation and administrative procedures

·         Maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy

·         Perform other duties as assigned

 

Position and Experience Requirements

 

·         Bachelors degree required

·         Highly motivated, self-starter, takes initiative

·         Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment

·         Excellent attention to detail, follow-up and organization

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and independently with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

·         Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required
