Class A Driver

HP Hood LLC, one of the largest branded dairy operators in the US, is seeking a Class A Route Driver to deliver in the Bangor area.

Duties will include:

Driving: Conduct all required pre-trip and post-trip inspections completing all DVCRs to ensure vehicle is maintained in a safe and professionally operating condition. Operate vehicle at all times in a safe and efficient manner, abiding by all Federal, State and Local laws. Maintain an updated drivers daily log at all times and full compliance with all D.O.T. regulations.

Delivery:Complete all daily deliveries as assigned. Provide superior customer service to each account through timely and accurate delivery of all products. Acting as a liaison of the company, resolve customer concerns and issues and when unable to do so provide information to supervisory staff. Accurate account collection (including cash) Ensure product delivered meets company quality standards. Proper account reconciliation. Collect all available empty cases and product returns from customer sites.

General:Follow and promote all company safety policies and procedures. Executes assigned duties with minimal supervision. Work week to include Saturdays and holidays as assigned. Available for call-ins and required over-time to support critical situations. Perform assigned duties in a timely manner, including follow-up to ensure work was completed satisfactorily. Maintain accurate records and logs as required. Maintain a clean & safe work environment, including interior of truck. Ensure proper maintenance of all assigned equipment. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

GED or High School Diploma.

Valid Class A.

Valid D.O.T. Medical Examiners card.

Excellent motor vehicle driving record.

Experienced in use of hand truck.

Delivery experience preferred.

Past experience in cash collection.

Solid customer service skills.

Ability to work well with people.

Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Standing: Frequently during deliveries.

Sitting: Frequently for varied period of times while driving.

Walking: Extensive.

Climbing: Frequently in/out of vehicle cab and onto and off docks & vehicle lift gate.

Bending & Twisting: Frequently.

Lifting: Heavy (25-50+ lbs) frequently.

Carrying: Heavy (25-50+ lbs) frequently.

Pushing/Pulling: Up to 225 lbs without assistance frequently.

Work Hours: Must be able to perform physically demanding work up to 12 hours daily.
