Position Highlights:

Client Accounting Service Group(CAS): Manager

Our rapid growth and increasing demands for our services have created a need for a Manager in our Southfield, Michigan office. Responsibilities will be to provide clients with both recurring and special project accounting assistance while supervising 10 to 12 staff members.

Position Requirements/Competencies:Strong client rapport skills necessary to develop and maintain ongoing business relationshipsStrong technology skills including experience with multiple accounting systems, data management and Microsoft office productsStrong interpersonal and communication skills required to:Promote positive working relationships with diverse personalities/roles at all levels in the firm and among clientsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and through written materialExplain and interpret accounting/financial information to non-financial individualsCommunicate technical issues to clients and staffManage staff of 10 to 12 and handle personnel issuesParticipate and contribute in annual practice planning and administrationIdentify additional client service opportunities with current clientsAttend new client meetings to assist with work organization and client relationsTechnical competencies necessary to:Assess and resolve effectively critical accounting issuesSolid understanding of effective accounting controls and accounting proceduresSolid working knowledge of core accounting issues and current regulationsManage the development of staff membersInvolved in recruiting new staff members (interviewing and selection of candidates)Qualifications/Requirements:6 – 8 years full charge accounting experience in computerized accounting, including general ledger, financial statements, payroll and depreciationAbility to organize work effectively and meet deadlinesSuperior problem solving abilityStrong communication skills (verbal and written) Local travel (Detroit Metro area -up to 60%)Overnight travel (10 to 20%)Bachelor degree in accounting requiredCPA or CMA not requiredPersonal Qualities:Strong client service orientationSelf directed; displays initiative, self-starterProfessional and approachable demeanor with a friendly interpersonal styleAssertive and self-confidentOrganized, high attention to detail; Good prioritizing and multi-tasking skillsHigh energy and ability to thrive in a challenging environmentPLEASE APPLY ONLINE AT:
