Client Experience Portal Senior Associate
POSITION SUMMARYThe Client Experience Portal ( CEP ) Senior Associate works as part of a central national team to continuously enhance the value of the portal, as well as launch new portals. ( Portals are secure extranet web sites shared between clients and Grant Thornton teams that serve those clients. ) Each portal is customized for the specific client and launched with a hands-on training session. In addition, the Senior Associate communicates with portal members, enhances portal functionality and expands portal content offerings. The CEP Senior Associate reports to the Client Experience Portal Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-Launch new portals and support roll-outs of portals for clients and proposal opportunities,-Engage in conversations with Grant Thornton partners and managers to help them determine the type of portal best suited for their client. Articulate value and related costs.-Work with engagement teams and clients to plan and coordinate training sessions.-Perform Quality Assurance Review on newly created portals for completeness.-Co-present portal to clients and Grant Thornton team in hands-on training sessions.-Follow up on open items that arise during on-site training sessions.-Market portal internally at firm functions ( Assurance Conference, Experienced Hire Expo, etc. )-Engage portal audience and communicate with portal members.-Assist Director in authoring weekly Spotlight message on portal by identifying and highlighting Grant Thornton thought leadership or other content of interest to primary audience ( CFOs, Accounting and Financial Reporting people, and Internal Auditors ).-Assist team with periodic “mass-customized” email communications ( messages with links to each person’s portal ) to pull members into their respective portals.-Improve value of portal, expand functionality and add content.-Determine needs for collaboration tools between firm teams and client portal members, such as interactive Client Assistance Lists. -Work with technology contractor and applicable firm groups to develop and launch the tools.-Identify new third-party, value-added resources, determine cost and benefit, and work through approval process to get appropriate content added.-Support portal operations and have active role in ongoing portal management activities.-Oversee portal client billings to make sure amounts billed are appropriate and accurate. -Oversee third-party vendor invoicing to make sure amounts paid are appropriate and accurate.-Maintain spreadsheets to track relevant financial information about variable costs and billings.-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.-Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.-Perform other job-related duties as necessary, sometimes on short notice.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS-Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or other related business field.-4-5 years experience in a professional services or related business field.-Knowledge of accounting and auditing topics. CPA certification a plus. -Knowledge of firm service lines, industries, and culture a plus.-Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to plan, create and execute own ideas.-Strong project management skills and demonstrated leadership skills. -Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -High level of comfort with the ambiguity and uncertainty that comes with rapid growth and change.-Strong, professional presence. Has confidence and poise to be able to present, instruct and interact with personnel at all levels.-Ability to effectively work with personnel at all levels and in teams, and with top level management.-Good time management skills. -Willing to travel for on-site portal training sessions.-Ability to work additional hours as needed.
