Clinical Training Specialist

We are currently looking for a Clinical Training Specialist to join our team. Qualified candidate can be located anywhere in the United States.
To plan, organize, direct, instruct and promote comprehensive clinical training and development programs. Such programs would be directed toward Sales Personnel, Managers, Distributor personnel, Marketing and Surgeons.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of position):

· Continually review the concept of what training should be at Orthofix to ensure that Orthofix employs among the most technically competent and highly trained sales forces in the orthopedic industry.
· Develop and constantly update basic and advanced programs for salespeople (primarily ATM, TM DSM and RSD positions (and distributor TMs) to ensure full and accurate program content, interesting and motivating presentation formats and thorough and timely follow-up with participants.
· Evaluate participants’ performance in training, report results to them and their supervisors, and follow-up with additional training and fieldwork as necessary. This ensures all Orthofix personnel have the tools and support they need in order be successful and in turn promote the continued success of their department and ultimately the Company.
· Select and prepare other faculty for all programs.
· Continue self-development to set a positive example and become a role model.
· Travel approximately 50% for fieldwork (co-travels) as well as meetings and conventions as needed.
· Support Human Resources and Training initiatives such as performance appraisals, etc.
· Work with corporate leadership to identify performance improvement opportunities.
· Will indirectly impact the attainment of the Company’s sales plan by ensuring the competency of both direct and distributor sales persons.
· Keep within Departmental Budget.
· Conduct the formal sales training program as needed based on projections each quarter for newly hired Territory Managers and distributor sales persons.
· Provide follow-up training in the field as needed with Territory Managers and distributor personnel.
· Work with department supervisors/managers/directors in determining areas of opportunity for improvement and implement appropriate training programs to address those opportunities.
· Understanding of Company’s vision, mission and strategy to achieve long and short term goals.
· Interface with all company departments and disciplines, distributor principles and sales representatives, as well as surgeons.
· Interact with foreign Orthofix employees and other subsidiaries for benchmarking training programs.
· Partner closely with the Marketing department during product introductions.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four year college or university or equivalent
