This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus at 3 months of employment and 1 year of employment at the position posted below.



Highline Medical Group is looking for a friendly and detail oriented  medical coder.

Required Education/Licenses/ Certifications:

CCA, CCS-P, CPC certification required, or 2 years of coding experience & must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.



Position Summary:

Full-time, days, Monday thru Friday



Reviews, selects, assigns CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS codes & Modifiers on clinic & hospital fee tickets



Checking code edits using Encoder Pro software



Some data entry of charges—as needed



Clerical duties such as filing, copying, special assignments—as needed





Accuracy Expectation:  95%

Minimum Requirements:



Organizational, problem-solving, & interpersonal skills required.



Must be computer literate & software application knowledgeable



Solid knowledge of ICD-9 & CPT coding



Proficient with MS Office (Word & Excel)



Effectively communicates & is a team player



Maintains professional standards for work
