Collections Manager
Key Duties/Overview
Responsible for the management of the Collections Department in our Atwater call center location. This includes, but is not limited to, the development and improvement of the Collections department operational goals and training and development of the Collections staff. Supervise Collections staff who are responsible for collecting and following-up on delinquent accounts.
Primary ResponsibilitiesStaff scheduling and maintaining attendance records Review collections report to ascertain status of collections and balance outstanding and evaluate effectiveness of Collections staff Develops a team spirit among subordinates and supervisor; motivates every team member to promote and maximize effectiveness of staff Monitor efficiency and timeliness in handling auto dialer calls Works cooperatively with management to effectively communicate and implement performance standards Maintains thorough and current knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal policies and procedures and bank products and services Exercises good judgment, excellent communication and people skills Accommodating to sudden change as well as able to produce new solutions to problems Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
QualificationsBachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or AA in business related discipline or equivalent (preferred) At least 5 years prior supervisory or team lead experience in a credit union or banking environment Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels Proven ability and leadership to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Ability to manage priorities and workflow with versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm PC proficiency and excellent organizational skills Ability to work with all levels of management Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
