Collections Senior SENIOR COLLECTORA growing financial institution that has been providingquality products and services for 100 years is seeking adynamic Senior Collector. The actions and performance ofthis person allow the lenders to perform their jobseffectively. This individual must be a team player andconsistently maintain a positive attitude. The SeniorCollector is responsible for all retail collections ofour consumer loan portfolio. Responsibilities of Senior Collector: " Control delinquency and identify potential losses andproblems at an early stage " Tactful telephone calls to borrower's residence andemployer as needed " Maintain tight follow up of borrower's commitments " Prepare and send collection letters as needed " Utilize other resources available if contact isdifficult " Work with collection attorneys on bankruptcies andmaintain proper follow up " Keep charged off accounts organized and insure allmeasures are being taken to recover all losses " Handle customer disputes as they pertain to creditbureau reporting " Respond to customer inquiries i.e. pay-offs, accounthistories and other servicing inquiries " Watch for problem patterns with dealer business andkeep the lenders informed " Insurance cancellation follow up as needed onselected loans " Issue repossession letters in accordance withindividual state requirements " Maintain repossession inventory RequirementsRequirements for Senior Collector " Minimum of five years of experience. " Knowledge and understanding of all phases of consumercollections, including direct as well as indirect loans " College degree preferred or equivalent industryexperience " Knowledge of current State and Federal lending laws " Must have a proven track record of abilities in thisarea " Must be well organized and able to work in asometimes rapid moving environment " Excellent communications skills, both written andoral " Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word " Experience in the manufactured housing industry aplus
