Collections Supervisor

Collections Supervisor SUMMARY:  Directly supervises employees in the Collections department and monitors collection activities and workflow to ensure goals of the department and staff met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. Â· Assign work to staff to ensure past due loans are worked to conclusion, or reviews accounts for referral to Home Retention· Ensure staff provides timely, friendly and effective service to customers along with maximum production of employees· Review delinquent loans for quality control in accordance with company guidelines, policies, and FDCPA regulations· Resolve problems and customer complaints through research and reconstruction of accounts· Conduct call monitors and loan level reviews· Review and approve recommended payment plans according to an approval matrix· Participate in interviewing and hiring process, and training of new employees· Prepare composite reports, studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates  REQUIREMENTS:· Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in collection of non-conforming mortgage loans· Minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience in similar work environment· High School Diploma or equivalent required· Some college preferred but not required· Thorough knowledge of collection practices and laws · Working knowledge of Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure and Bankruptcy laws· Ability to multitask and work under tight, frequent deadlines· Ability to problem solve and analyze pending foreclosure situations· Strong negotiation skills with ability to resolve conflict effectively
