Compliance / Audit Analyst

Our client is a leading Private Equity firm and they are currently looking for a Compliance and Audit Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on SOX compliance and is a excellent opportunity to grow and develop your knowledge and skills! Position Summary:
The responsibility of this position is to support the implementation of best practice solutions and reporting and process control with regards to SOX compliance and audit around general computing controls within the Engineering department.

 

Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of developments in compliance and audit guidelines and best practices
- Perform management of compliance procedures and oversee evolution and documentation of existing as-built documentation
- Implement framework tools procedures to block any unauthorized confidential data leaving the organization by making use of keyword filtering and attachment checking.
- Develop a strategy for delivering notification emails and network messages to inform appropriate management when policy breaches and exception reporting occur
- Facilitate lead in adopting best practices in keeping the General Computing Controls up to date and relevant as industry guidance and policies change over time.
- Define and provide supporting reports on policy breaches, exceptions and attachment with keyword exceptions
- Participate in project management methodology as part of global technology initiatives


Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- COBIT framework methodology certified (preferred)
- Experience supporting COBIT compliance/audit operations specifically around SOX 404 compliance guidance
- Leveraging COBIT/COSO guidance to define and adhere to a compliance framework within the department
- Ability to interface with auditors to facilitate periodic data gathering and reporting requirements.
- Work with auditors to review financial and operational systems for adequate internal controls with respect to SOX.
- 2-3 years experience in the role of managing compliance related infrastructure.
- Hands on experience with leveraging specialized compliance search tools to retrieve litigation-driven discovery requests.
- 1-2 years in project management experience in support of compliance driven initiatives
