PRG-Schultz is recruiting a Computer Operations Analyst for our Atlanta, Georgia corporate office who is seeking a challenging career opportunity within a growth-oriented international company.

The purpose of this position is to oversee and handle the monitoring, administration, and maintenance of the network infrastructure(s) LAN and WAN as well as daily processing activities. This includes the installation and repair of Production computer systems, Level 1 and Level 2 support and troubleshooting of Production software, and maintenance and administration of the site phone system by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


**This position is for the night shift**

· Maintains and ensures proper functionality and connectivity of the Local Area network and Wide Area network including all components of the LAN/WAN: cabling, switches and hubs, network interface cards, file servers and server operating systems, etc.

· Works in 24-hour/seven days operation

· Monitors servers, effects repairs/resolution upon problem determinations

· Provides telephone Level 1 and Level 2 support for each user or workstation in the organization, escalates accordingly

· Ensures daily and weekly backups of network and workstation systems are completed (Disaster Recovery)

· Performs routine maintenance and repair of printers, PCs, servers and other computer related equipment 

· Completes all required documentation to reflect shift activity

· Works to resolve unsuccessful production jobs escalate as necessary and take corrective action

· Provides training to new NOC Personnel

· Performs system monitoring checks and system interrogation, logs all statuses, complete daily turnover

· Oversees proactive monitoring of all infrastructure components to prevent potential problems

· Recognizes and documents abnormal situations in problem log and seeks proper action

· Performs daily/weekly backups of processors (AS400, Windows NT, Windows 2000)

· Performs computer generated output processing consisting of print/CD production 

· Ability to locate and identify resolution of error messages and codes in technical manuals 

· Creates/Updates/Maintains operations documentation to be used for daily activities and the Disaster Recovery Plan

· Recognizes and responds to environmental situations that have potential to impact the Data Center

Education and Experience:


Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Prefer 2+ years of experience in an office environment, preferably desktop and server support related.

 

Tivoli Storage Manager and/or BrightStor experience required.  IBM Director and/or NetIQ experience required.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Requires Microsoft Certified Professional status in NT 4.0 or Windows 2000.  Other certifications with Cisco, Citrix, Compaq, IBM, CA Unicenter or CompTia would be a plus.
