Contracts Negotiator I

The Contracts Negotiator works directly with services and sales personnel and management to close revenue contracts and manage the active agreement revenue stream.  This position is responsible for negotiating and managing Novell's revenue-generating contracts in Novell's Contracts & Negotiations team.  The Negotiator also assists in the coordination of appropriate approvals from various internal personnel such as Sales, Consulting, Contracts, Finance, Software Development and Legal.  The position interfaces with other internal departments as appropriate, including Customer Operations. Primary responsibilities for an assigned geography include: - Trouble-shooting customer contracts and purchasing program issues and other such tasks as assigned from time to time. - Negotiating sales contracts including licensing and services master contracts according to team and company guidelines -  Reviewing services statements of work, - Managing executed agreements, and participating on team wide process improvement projects.  Required Education/Skills: - Bachelor's degree - MBA and/or J.D. preferred - 3 to 5 years work experience in related field -  Computer skillsDisclaimer: This job description is for informational purposes, to describe the primary duties, skills and abilities necessary to meet the requirements of this position.
