Location: Atlanta, GA

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This position will manage accounting staff, special projects, process improvement initiatives, and lead monthly reporting for the multiple sites.  Specifically:

 

1. Plan and direct the North American accounting and finance activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP, statutory tax compliance and related regulatory requirements and internal accounting policies and procedures.

2. Coordinate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial, tax schedules and statistical reporting to provide useful, timely information to executive management

3. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance including proper revenue and expense accounting with supporting account reconciliations prepared and reviewed timely

4. Advise on proper accounting treatment for unusual and/or infrequent transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP

5. Provide financial leadership on acquisitions from performing pre-acquisition due diligence through post-acquisition financial integration activities

6. Participate as leader on special projects and process improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement

7. Provide project management leadership

 

Required Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a 10-15 years of progressive professional accounting/finance experience including at least 5 consecutive years in a public accounting Strong computer aptitude and proficiency.

· Experience in consolidation of multiple company financialsStrong understanding of US GAAP, SOX
