Controller

The high energy, astute person that we seek is a trusted advisor in support of the management team in providing reporting, budgeting and forecasting and associated financial analyses.  You will be responsible for the accounting and business management reporting, analysis, forecasting and other business and financial matters to include:  Manage routine accounting operations to include general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, cash management, bank reconciliation and financial reportingLead and coordinate financial planning, forecasting, and monthly close processes Develop appropriate policies and procedures, implement financial systems and ensure proper internal control design, implementation, and documentationReview and approve monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards; prepare variance analyses and other analytical toolsManage and monitor revenue recognition regulations and trends of software and services and familiarity developing VSOE to ensure effectiveness and compliance of finance functionParticipant as accounting project administration
Track revenue recognition, sales, booking and analysis reporting and contract accuracyReview and prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly taxes for excise, property, etc

Professional requirements:

7+ years’ as Controller, Senior contributor, Manager/Director of Financial Operations or equivalentHigh-tech and/or start-up company experience is strongly preferredStrong analytical, technical, communication, and organizational skillsProficient with Excel, pivot tables, etc.Familiar with software revenue recognition regulations QuickBooks experience a plus
Demonstrated problem-solver, decision-maker Flourish in a dynamic, collaborative team environmentB.S. in accounting or finance – CPA and/or MBA-Finance desirable
