A major quick service restaruant and retail company is looking for our next controller. This is a fast-paced and demanding position will be located in our Anaheim Corporate Office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an entreperunal environment.

SUMMARY
Directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Establishes, or recommends to management, major economic objectives and policies for company such as expense control.
Prepares reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, cash audit, expenses, inventory, shrink and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Directs preparation of budgets.
Reviews Bank Statements, balances, issue miscellaneous checks, bonuses, terminations and interact with the bank as required..
Reviews weekly sales and prepares reports.
Prints checks based on vendor reports
Reviews Accounts Payables checks.
Reviews Franchise royalty receipts and records into accounting system.
Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
Arranges for audits of company's accounts.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis.
In charge of the monthly accounting close and preparation of store P&L's.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 5 to 10 employees in the Accounting and Finance. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
