Controller, Assistant 103

A fast growing government contractor, is looking for an individual
that has extensive experience independently managing accounting
operations and closing processes, must be a strong manager, must have
the ability to work effectively with senior levels of management and
provide solutions to business issues.   This position
reports directly to the Corporate Controller and includes, among
others, the following areas of responsibility: Manage three departments Payroll (1500 Emp)Accounts Payable  Expense ReimbursementWork with Department
Manager/Supervisor to document procedures, identify areas to improve
internal controls and gain additional efficiencies, and implement
policy change (as needed). . Manage departments for new
projects and initiatives as they arise such as acquisitions,
potential changes in processes, Costpoint system upgrades and new
functionality, among others. Work with departments in
accomplishing departmental goals.

Requirements: Government Contracting experience, to give you an understanding of Gov. Regs for A/P and expense reimbursement Deltek/Costpoint
experience required
 

CPA (candidate is OK)

 Bachelor’s degree
in accounting Minimum of eight to ten
