Controller/Financial Officer

We are a growing and dynamic hedge fund manager and investment advisor located in Hanover, NH.  We are in search of an individual to join our team to assist us in several areas of our organization including: accounting, trading, technology, risk management and compliance.

The candidate must have experience in accounting with an investment firm, hedge fund or investment accounting administrator.

The candidate must have high integrity and be a proactive, bright individual that possesses a strong work ethic the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment.


Responsibilities include:

-  Develop new relationships with third party services providers including prime brokers, fund administrators and independent auditors

-  Develop and implement compliance policies

-  Review and reconcile monthly financial statements and valuation for the hedge fund portfolios.

  - Prepare financial statements for the  firm

  - Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:  Base Salary plus Bonus.  Base is negotiable based upon experience and is expected to be in the range of $60,000 to 150,000.


Qualifications:

- CPA and/or Bachelors Degree in accounting and minimum three years experience, preferably with an investment firm.

  -  Knowledge of investment and partnership accounting is highly preferred and financial product knowledge of equities and derivatives is essential.

  -  Computer proficiency: Advent software, QuickBooks, Excel, Bloomberg.
