We are seeking an experienced Controller to work directly under the CFO to manage the overall financial control operations of the organization.

 

The ideal individual would have at least 8+ years experience working as a Controller in a construction, environmental, and/or engineering organization overseeing all aspects of financial operations to include:

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all day-to-day activities related to finance, including Accounting.

• Supervise accounting staff; train personnel in financial reporting.

• Establish controls to manage financial books/records

• Prepare monthly financial statements and forecasts

• Manage enforcement and maintenance of classification of accounts

• Manage and compile reports, statements, statistics or other data

• Responsible for accuracy and detail of general ledger through trial balance

• Ensure accuracy of all input/output of system through verification of data.

• Ensure accuracy of payroll and associated reports

• Verify, analyze and audit accuracy of all vouchers, drafts, reports.

• Manage and direct the preparation of aging reports for A/R and administer collection procedures for delinquent accounts

 

Requirements:

• Have 5+ years experience as an Assistant Controller/Controller

• Experience in project cost accounting

• Proficiency in Deltek Vision software required

• Demonstrated analytical ability

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred
